I'm T-Brett. Until summer, I have begun a new series, The Way Schools Rule. In this series, secrets behind exactly what terrible things occur in school that parents and some children don't know about is revealed.

Rule # 1
HOMEWORK: Enemy of All

As many school children will say, homework is better left alone. Obviously, most children think that the less homework, the better. Although that's not true, the "More the Merrier" is losing meaning as well.
Dallas, Texas: Staley Middle School... Suspect #1

Gifted and Talented (G.T.) Classroom ...

In a small suberb outside of Dallas, many G.T. students will say that homework is a big problem. Unlike most cases when kids say it's too much homework because they're lazy and would rather do video games, this is for real. Although some longing for their favorite Star Wars or Call of Duty game exists, that isn't it. It would be okay if that was the only class they have homework for, but oh, it is NOT. Instead, 4 other classes assign homework each day, which they would cope, they claim, if not for G.T. You must read part of your book, not so hard, you must fill out a character log as you meet them in the book, not to bad, chapter questions of up to 20 questions, a little challenging, a journal entry using a template, not bad at all. Now put it together including homework from other classes:

In one night:
read a chapter
do 20 questions
write a journal entry
fill out a character log
5 questions from spiral review
math workbook or worksheet
science workbook
elective

As you can see, that pretty much runs your life doesn't it? I'd hate to be in that class. Plus some people have soccer and Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts or Football. Thus they reach another day where they can't seem to get away. The grasp of school is way to strong, that what they do is almost wrong!

That's this edition of The Way Schools Rule.
T-Brett signing off.

Isn't He Great?

Like I said, isn't Ryan great for making this template?

The Brands

I have visited my uncle's website many times. One of his posts really made me think. I have to agree with him. What's the deal with cristian named brands like Jesus Bar, and Smile Cleaners with the slogan, 'God Loves You'? Just because it's CHRISTIAN, ooh bold!, doesn't mean their products are going to sell any better! It could hurt them in the long run because of non-believers causing the company to face pursecution and what not. Besides, does a Christian name mean kind, sweet employees? Am I right? Well, I find some of the things they talk about, total crap! I sat through a movie in class about a week ago, talking about how the Earth used to be a great ball of hot burning magma. Then it said that the Earth cooled and the magma formed rock ground. Interesting theory I think, but what about the water? It didn't say! Just to add more, it tells in the book of Genesis in the Bible the creation of Earth, how it wasn't there and God created Land, water, plants, animals, and humans. So basically, you don't see Earth, and in six days, there's the whole darn thing!
